I met Kris a couple of years ago and we quickly became good friends. He has taught me a lot about Bitcoin and was instrumental in a quick understanding of what Bitcoin, Blockchains and Crypto in general is. He is a miner, teacher, and quality conversationalist.
It was only natural that he ran our successful Bitcoin meet up in Koh Phangan. It was there that we met Didi, who is also part of the Hardforking team. The three of us are ‘all in’ on Bitcoin and Crypto, with Didi being very famous for the fact. Didi and his family have become known as the Bitcoin Family and seem to have a new media engagement every day.
Kris’s Last Business in Koh Phangan
Kris and his wife A were running the Crow Bar, one of the best bars on the island, where we made friends with many international Crypto people on our weekly Bitcoin meet-ups.
Their departure left many customers and friends very upset. On the other hand, Koh Phangan’s loss is Chang Saen’s gain. We had some wild times, maybe a few too many and I am sure, the move north, to a much quieter place, will enable Kris to really focus on doing some great things for the crypto community.
Bitcoin Obsession & Crypto Culture
We are a strange lot. Bitcoin is almost an addiction, it certainly is for the team involved with Hardforking. Hard forks are how new coins are created. We use the term to describe a hard fork from Fiat. We also use the term in the respect that we have hard forked what would be considered a normal way of living. To that end, Kris has followed his passion for Bitcoin and started Satoshi House. Anybody can come and stay there but the idea is for it to be a sanctuary for Bitcoin developers, open source devs application devs, Miners, and most importantly, anyone who wants to learn, or get involved in Bitcoin. Kris is our Bitcoin Maximalist!

Bitcoin has no marketing department, that’s down to people like us! It has no boss organising everything. It is small teams of passionate people working together for a greater good. It is almost a passion project for most involved in it We have no funding when working on Bitcoin and this does create a very tight community and the purpose of Satoshi House is to grow that community.
